Philip

Today is my son Philip's 23rd birthday.
I remember as if it was just yesterday when I had spoken with the doctor and I told him that my baby is breach. He asked me how I knew. I told him that I just do. He said that he will do an ultrasound and if the baby is breach, he will schedule a C-section. So he did the ultrasound and behold, the baby is breached. Went back to his office, started to look at his calendar and told me that he will be on vacation in May. Well, I asked him when he will be going on vacation and when he will be coming back. He gave me a few dates but settled on May 27 as it sounded so good.
Jojo and I went to Kaiser Hospital on Sunset Blvd at about 5am, got checked in and went to the prep room around 6am. Stayed there til the room is ready for me. Went in the operating room and of course, Jojo went with me. And at 1309 hours, I heard his cry and seen my Philip. He was so perfectly made and perfectly knitted by our Lord's hand. He was so beautiful in my sight and I could not wait to hold him. But the nurses had to wisk him away to be cleaned up and told Jojo to go with the nurses and not take his eyes off our Philip. I told him that I will be okay. Both left with the nurses and came back with Philip all cleaned and wrapped in swaddling clothes. By this time, Philip was given to me and I could not take my eyes off of him. He cried so much--i guess being hungry or he just wanted to cry. I was able to coo him and fed him which seems to satisfy and made him rest. As I watch Philip, I could not believe that the Lord had given me another treasure to love.
The time has come by so fast. I know that the Lord is good and will continue to watch over Philip as years go by. Philip is God's child and the Lord will keep Philip in the hollow of His hands to continue to mold him and make him a man after God's own heart.
Happy Birthday Philip. We love you sooooooooooooo much.
